Cortina d’Ampezzo, April 24, 2026 – Fondazione Cortina announces a three-year partnership with Karpos, a technical outdoor brand founded in 2007 that has since become an international leader in its field. This partnership stems from a shared vision and a genuine connection to the mountains, a defining element that unites the two organizations.
This partnership, in fact, takes shape in the heart of the Dolomites and is rooted in shared values: respect for the Alpine environment, a passion for sports, and a commitment to the communities that live and work at high altitudes. It is a cultural and human heritage that the Cortina Foundation has been promoting for years and that Karpos embodies through its technical expertise and innovative spirit.
At the heart of the partnership is a strong focus on performance. Karpos, a leading brand in technical apparel for ski mountaineering, trekking, trail running, and climbing, develops products designed to support athletes and enthusiasts in all conditions. This philosophy aligns naturally with Fondazione Cortina’s commitment to promoting elite sports, organizing international events, and making sports and competitions increasingly accessible and inclusive.
In addition to its sporting dimension, the partnership is distinguished by a broad vision of sustainability, understood not only as environmental protection but also as the empowerment of people: athletes, young people, professionals, and the entire community that make the mountain region unique and that have made a difference in past sporting events—first and foremost the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“This partnership represents a natural step for us,” said Stefano Longo, President of Fondazione Cortina. “We share deep roots in the Dolomite region with Karpos, as well as a common vision that places sport—and, above all, the people who live in the mountains and make them unique every day—at the center. Karpos will be by our side for upcoming sporting events and will also produce the official uniforms for Fondazione Cortina staff over the next three years. We are also already working on new joint projects that fully express our shared values, with the goal of generating a positive impact for the region.”
“The partnership with Fondazione Cortina was a natural, almost inevitable step for Karpos. The Dolomites are the cradle of our outdoor DNA, and this collaboration is a new opportunity to return to the mountains that are our home,” said Alessio Cremonese, Executive Chairman of the MVC Group. “Our relationship with the Foundation has been firmly established for several years, thanks to a shared vision in which technical expertise goes hand in hand with environmental sustainability and social inclusion. It is precisely this human value that unites us: we are mountain people, and we want to make the mountains accessible to everyone, especially those who must first overcome their personal limitations before tackling athletic challenges. In 2024, our first collaboration—during the Cortina Skimo Cup, a World Cup ski mountaineering final—proved that we could expand the horizons of our partnership. Together, we have now set ourselves the goal of continuing to promote the heritage of these iconic peaks, so that anyone can experience firsthand the magic of the places where the history of winter sports was written. This commitment continues into the summer season as well, with a new ambitious project that highlights the trails of the Ampezzo Dolomites. We can’t wait to embark on this new journey! ”.
