To take part in the ‘Cortina 56-26’, you must be at least 18 years old by 18 July 2026, have mountain experience, be free from vertigo, be in excellent physical condition, and have clothing suitable for temperatures ranging from -5 to +30 degrees. For the 56 km race, knowledge of the alpine environment is required.
A competitive athletics medical certificate valid until at least 26 July 2026 is mandatory for participation.

Foreign athletes must have a valid certificate in English—valid as of July 26, 2026—validated, stamped, and signed by a physician, and upload it during the online registration process. The foreign certificate must indicate compliance with Ministerial Decree of February 18, 1982.

Foreign athletes can find a pre-filled form below that they can use as a medical certificate after completing the document and having it signed by a doctor downloadable here.

Online registration is open until Friday, July 24, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., unless race bibs run out in the weeks leading up to the event. Only athletes who register before July 15 will be eligible to receive a personalized race bib with their name on it.

There are 150 race numbers available for the 26K individual race, 100 race numbers for the 56K individual race, 30 race numbers for pairs in the Cortina 26K relay, and 30 race numbers for pairs in the Cortina 56K relay. Registration is done online, with payment by credit card or PayPal.

Last-minute on-site registration will be available during the race office’s opening hours on Friday, July 24, only if race bibs are still available, and will follow the same rules as online registration.
